I am of Palestinian origin and a citizen of the Netherlands.
I was born in Haifa and has been living in Amsterdam since August 1989.
My parents are forced-displaced refugees who remained in their own country:

An interesting term describing the status of forced displaced Palestinians like my parents and myself is present absentees.
Most of my parents' family members are in the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon since 1948.
