• About the surname سمعان Sima'an

• I am of Palestinian origin

• I was born in Haifa and has been living in Amsterdam since August 1989. 

• An interesting term describing the status of my parents, which I enherited, is present absentee.

• My parents are forced-dispalced refugees who remained in their own country:

  • • My father's Christian+Muslim village Suhmata in the Galilee, obliterated in 1948 (the Nakba). 

    • My mother's Christian village Kafr_Bir'im in the Galilee, obliterated in 1948-1951 (the Nakba).  Watch this documentary  and  this documentary
